A central purpose of FAA is to participate in the legislative process in order to promote and protect the interests of its members. FAA works throughout the year alone and in conjunction with allied groups to represent the interests of its members. FAA monitors legislation and regulations and shares that information with our local affiliate staff and leadership. FAA subscribes to Ordinance Watch Member Builder, a service that provides email advisories about proposed local ordinances and changes to existing ones. Each FAA local association has a minimum of two people who monitor local government agendas on a daily basis. Government Affairs Staff Jeff Rogo, FAA Government Affairs Director Ronald Book, FAA Lobbyist Chip Tatum, AAGO Government Affairs Director Erik Taylor, NAA State Policy Manager Bills and legislative/regulatory initiatives can be tracked in your area on the Florida Ordinance Watch Web site, Floridaordinancewatch.com. The site is a free service of the Florida Retail Federation, and FAA contracts with FOW to monitor legislative and regulatory activity affecting the multifamily housing industry. return to main Resource Guide page
