Membership Types
Regular Members
Regular Members are people who own or are directly employed by
apartment communities or management companies, such as property
managers, leasing agents, property supervisors, etc. They join FAA by
joining the local association in their area. They may not join FAA
independently of the local association. The local then sends a prorated
portion of those dues to NAA and FAA, which entitles the regular member
to membership in both organizations. They may attend NAA and FAA
functions at the member rate, for example. Anyone who wishes to join FAA
must first contact the local association in or closest to their
geographic location.
Associate Members
Associate members must also pay dues to the local association if their employees want to engage in activities there, but they may join FAA separately by becoming a member of the Product/Service
Council. Associates do not have to join FAA directly if they do not want to. Generally, companies whose market is largely local, such as landscape firms, will join only the local association.
